5 Proven Ways to Get (AND STAY) Healthy

  07/26/2017

If it were easy to live a healthy lifestyle, there wouldn’t be hundreds of weight loss companies with multi-billion dollar empires today. The fact of the matter is: our society’s reliance on technology and unhealthy food production has made for a difficult health balance. If you feel unhealthy, you are not alone.

Here are 5 proven ways to both get, and STAY, healthy in today’s world:

  1. Water:

This is an easy one. Force yourself to drink 8 cups of water per day. If you’re working out, drink even more. Drinking more water contributes to weight loss, healthier skin, better sleep, and more energy. Drink one cup when you wake up, one with breakfast, one before, during, and after lunch, and keep the ball rolling.

  1. Eat Real Food:

French fries aren’t bad for you if they’re homemade and baked in your oven! Try and eat real food, not the processed stuff available in grocery store freezers. It’s amazing how much healthier it is to just take the time and prep it yourself.

  1. Sleep:

Your body burns the most calories while you’re sleeping. If you make time to sleep for 8-9 hours per night instead of 4-hours, you’re going to be burning way more calories. Plus, you’ll have more energy and you’ll be in a way better mood.

  1. Socialize:

You may be thinking: socializing doesn’t help with healthiness because eating out and getting drinks is the opposite of health. However, making a circle of friends that are all into healthiness will be beneficial for you. You can take turns making meals from scratch at home, and invite everyone over for a gathering and exchange of healthy ideas.

  1. Move:

Find something moving-based that you enjoy. We understand that not everyone is a natural gym rat. However, you do need to get your body moving. Whether it’s Zumba classes, going for a walk in the morning, or going on hikes every weekend, find what makes your body happy.

Ready to starting living a healthy life? It’s not as hard as you may think!
